CARIBOU – A raffle could win you and a loved one a romantic getaway just in time for a summer vacation.
“You could win a romantic weekend getaway at the Lucerne Inn in Dedham. All you have to do is purchase a $10 ticket. Proceeds will benefit the Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery in Caribou,” said Harry Hafford, a member of the cemetery’s Board of Directors.     The money raised will be used for various cemetery projects. Prizes include: two nights at the Lucerne Inn to be taken by June 30, 2008 (and includes a deluxe continental breakfast); a cocktail ring donated by Wilder’s Jewelry, valued at $495 retail; a wine, cheese and chocolates basket donated by The Silver Basket, valued at $50; five $25 gas certificates donated by Bradley’s Citgo, Dwight’s Barber Shop, Ashland 1 Stop, Dead River Convenience Store and Daigle Oil – PI branch; and a breakfast donated by Governor’s Restaurant.
With the drawing just days away, Hafford said tickets are still available.
“The raffle drawing will be April 15. Tickets can be obtained at some of the businesses mentioned or by calling me at 435-6024. There are a number of individuals from Limestone to Presque Isle who have tickets to sell as well. I can provide those numbers if anyone’s interested in purchasing closer to home,” said Hafford.
