PORTLAND – Each day U.S. Cellular associates come to work with one thing in mind, serving the customer. The Director’s Club at U.S. Cellular recognizes associates who continually serve customers with excellence while exceeding business goals.     The company is pleased to announce that: Laurel Feeney, of Bangor, a five-time winner; William Gilbert, of Bangor, a second-time winner; Jennifer Kidd, of Portland, and second-time winner; Wendy Ossinger, of Bangor; and Donald Pratt, of Presque Isle, have been chosen for the Director’s Club in the first quarter of 2008.
“U.S. Cellular’s Director’s Club is a great way to recognize associates who deliver the ideal customer experience at every encounter,” said Eric Conlon, director of sales for U.S. Cellular in New England. “These associates embody all the qualities in our Dynamic Organization (D.O.) and go beyond their defined roles to assist customers.”
The concept behind the D.O. is simple: effective leaders build satisfied associates, who in turn deliver outstanding customer service — thus increasing customer loyalty and revenue. In an industry dominated by giant national carriers, U.S. Cellular is proving that being passionate about its associates — and the customer service they provide — can be the key to thriving in a highly competitive arena.
“U.S. Cellular is always looking for the right candidates because we need those people that display our passion for customer satisfaction,” said Conlon.
The company is currently looking to fill positions throughout northern New England, including cashiers/greeters, sales managers, store managers, service technicians, sales associates, business-to-business sales representatives and network engineers. To qualify for a position, candidates must demonstrate passion, a customer-focused attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond for customers.
U.S. Cellular is the nation’s sixth-largest wireless service carrier, providing wireless service to six million customers in 26 states. The Chicago-based company employs 8,000 associates and operates on a customer-satisfaction strategy, meeting customer needs by providing a comprehensive range of wireless products and services, superior customer support and a high-quality network.
