Caribou Middle School announces April’s top students

    Caribou Middle School staff recently announced their student selections for Student of the Month for April.
 Image   Nella Ouellette and Cindy Levasseu, teachers on the fifth- grade “Brainiacs” team named Brian Corbin to receive the monthly award.

    Corbin is described as being well respected by his classmates and teachers and is a student who can be relied upon to be willing to help around the classroom, often asking if there is anything he can do to help.
    His teachers stated, “We can count on Brian to be prepared for class and have his homework completed. Congratulations Brian for being chosen as April’s student of the Month.”
 

Image   Fifth-grader Sarah Doak, a member of the “Sur-five-ors” team was selected by teachers Travis Barnes, Jola Hebert and Kim Barnes to be their teams Student of the Month.
    Her teacher’s describe her as “a well-rounded, conscientious students who is always prepared for class. She is active in Student Organization and participated on the Nordic Ski Team. Sarah is also running track this spring and loves to play soccer. She balances her schoolwork with her extracurricular activities and maintains highest honors. Sarah is kind and helpful to her peers and a pleasure to have in class.”
 

Image   Sixth-grade teachers Dedee Duncan and Donna Holmes of the “WOW’s” team, selected Krista Beaupres as their April Student of the Month.
    “Krista is gentle, kind and sweet young lady who works tenaciously, holding honor roll status throughout  her middle school years. Some of the activities that keep her busy and focused are band, baton, soccer,  biking, Girl Scouts, and that infamous habit all women share-shopping. Krista is a wonderful friend and treats all her classmates in a kind way. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and she is an asset to our team.”  
 

Image   Sixth-grader Matt Curry was selected as April’s Student of the Month for the “Six-ceeders” team. Teachers Cathy Bouchard, John Pelletier and Ruth Dionne state,” Matt is a very conscientious student, setting high academic standards for himself, which he demonstrates by successfully making highest honors every quarter. He is always willing to help his classmates and also his teachers when called upon. Matt is very respectful toward his peers and teachers. He demonstrates the qualities of an outstanding role model and leader and is a pleasure to have in class.”
    When not in school, Matt enjoys playing basketball, baseball and he is a loyal Red Sox fan.

Image     Seventh-grade student Tiffany Bishop of the “S.W.A.T.” team, was chosen for the April Student of the Month award by teachers Shelly Richardson, Mary Curtis and Steve Perreault. Described by her team teachers as “a hard-working students who gives 100 percent effort in all that she does. She is a high honor student and a member of the newly founded ‘iBook team’. She is always willing to help out her classmates and her teachers. She is a true pleasure to know and to work with.”
 

Image   Corey Rideout, a member of the seventh-grade “Stars” team, was selected as April’s Student of the Month by teachers Roger Thompson and Holly Rhinebolt.    
    “ Corey gets along well with his classmates and his teachers. His pleasant personality helps in creating a cheerful atmosphere in the classroom and around the school. Corey is helpful and caring to others, always giving a helping hand to those around him. Where you see Corey you will also see a nice smile and a happy face to cheer up your day,” his teachers said.
    “Corey role models the example of an outstanding student of the month as he spends his day at Caribou Middle School and also within the community,” his teachers continued. He is an honor roll student and played on the CMS seventh grade basketball team. He also is a member of the Caribou Little League and one of his hobbies is collecting baseball cards,” they added. “Anyone who knows Corey also knows that he is a great fan of the Red Sox and some of his favorite foods are pizza, chicken and fries,” his teachers noted.

Image     Eighth-grade teachers Jessica Dow, Troy Barnes, Ralph Fantasia, Shannon Sleeper and Courtney Cyr have named Matthew Kamm as one of their Students of the Month for  April.
     “Matt is a good school citizen, kind and helpful to both students and staff,” stated his teachers. “Matt was a member of the eighth-grade boys basketball team this year and is participating in spring baseball. He is also a member of the eighth-grade leadership team and is an honors student. Congratulations Matt.”

Image     Katrina McPherson, a grade -eight student was chosen for the April Student of the Month award by her teachers Jessica Dow, Troy Barnes, Ralph Fantasia, Shannon Sleeper and Courtney Cyr.
    Speaking in regard to their selection the teachers stated they were “pleased to select Katrina as one of their students of the month. She is a high honors student, who always tries her best to excel in her classes. She has been a member of the cross-country and math teams. She is also a member of the student ‘iBook team’ and has been assisting her homeroom teacher and classmates with various laptop issues.”
    The grade-eight teachers also said,” We feel that Katrina is an excellent example of school citizenship. Her positive attitude toward her schoolwork and her willingness to help out her fellow students is very much appreciated by her teachers and her peer and we are again pleased to select Katrina as one of our Students of the Month.”
