Soldier looking for pen pals

To the editor:
    I am writing to you in regard to putting a request in your paper for a pen pal. My father used to live in Bridgewater and I hear the people there are really nice. I am a Marine currently stationed in Iraq and let me say getting letters especially the hand written kind help a lot. It means a lot to people when they can actually hold the letters they receive. It may seem like a small thing to a lot of people but getting mail actually gets people excited.
    I am currently stationed in the Al Anbar Province — can’t really say where exactly. I am a Corporal in the Corps. I’m just looking for a friend that I can write to and well, vent without scaring my parents.
