PRESQUE ISLE – Eric Waddell, principal of Presque Isle High School, is pleased to announce the speakers for two upcoming events.
For the 25th annual Academic Awards Banquet, slated for May 19, the keynote address will be presented by Richard and Marcia Lord. The 2008 Commencement speaker will be Mylan Cohen, MD. Commencement for PIHS’ Class of 2008 is scheduled for June 6.
Together, the Lords have combined to teach 79 years at PIHS. They will retire at the end of the current school year with distinguished careers in public education.
Dr. Cohen graduated from PIHS in 1979. He went on to graduate from the University of Maine, the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and Harvard School of Public Health. He is a physician with Maine Cardiology Associates in South Portland.
