Leigh E. Cummings III and Kristine Ann Povilaitis were married at Nuptial Mass on August 25, 2007. Rev. Philip M. Forlano performed the Roman Catholic ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of SS. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, Penn.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert V. Povilaitis of Hatboro, Penn. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leigh E. Cummings Jr. of Houlton. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Leigh E. Cummings, Mr. and Mrs. Merle Fenlason and the late Jean Fenlason, all of Houlton.
Attending as maid of honor was Danielle Hawkes of Hatboro. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Cummings, sister of the groom, Mara Smalley and Dana Stenack.
Matthew Cummings, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Michael Povilaitis, brother of the bride, David Mollo-Christensen and Alex Kronauer.
Music was provided by organist Michael Sheerin, trumpeter Elin Frazier and tenor Carmen Malatino.
The bride wore a Thai silk gown by St. Pucci. The wedding ring of her late grandmother, Gloria Zuccarello, was tied to her bouquet.
A reception followed at the Glen Ford Mansion in Philadelphia.
On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Italian Bistro in Philadelphia.
The couple honeymooned in Nantucket, Mass.
The bride graduated from Temple University, summa cum laude, in 2004 with a B.A. in journalism, public relations and advertising. She earned her J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2007. She practices family law and general civil litigation at Schlesinger and Buchbinder, LLP.
The groom graduated as his class valedictorian of Houlton High School and a graduate, magna cum laude, of Colby College. He earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2007. He is employed in the Banking and Finance department of Riemer & Braunstein, LLP.
The couple make their home in Boston, Mass. with their shih-tzu, Ralphie.
