CARIBOU – Viking boys’ tennis topped up their perfect record to 11-0 after defeating Ellsworth 3-1 on Saturday.
Doubles team Taylor Jepson and Spencer McElwain posted an 8-2 win while Keegan Wakana and Phil Smith took an 8-3 victory. Casey Lancaster won his singles match 8-1.
The Caribou girls’ tennis team moved to 7-4 on the season after their 3-2 loss.
In singles, Viking Jenna Selander took her match 8-3. Octavia Panzeri and Laura Collins fell 8-2 and 8-5, respectively.
In doubles, Missy Nadeau and Elizabeth Barbosa toppled their opponents 8-3. Nicole Nadeau and Meagan Nadeau lost 8-3.
Caribou tennis dominated the Fort Kent courts last Wednesday, the Viking boys winning all five matches 5-0 and the girls winning 4-1.
On the boys’ courts, Franz Zehentner defeated Adam Bouchard 8-0, Shane Belanger defeated Matt Taggert 8-0 and Lancaster defeated Kelley Pelletier 8-0.
In doubles, Jepson and McElwain took their match over Alex Charette and Isaac Mitchell 8-0, and Tim Langlais and Wakana topped Jean Lebouef and Adam Morel 8-0.
In girls’ singles, Panzeri defeated Jessica Caron 9-7, Selander defeated Nicole Chasse 8-5 and Collins defeated Alli Charette 9-8.
In doubles, Missy Nadeau and Barbosa took Amerlia Stevens and Sam Landry 8-2. N. Nadeau and Megan Nadeau fell 8-4.
