    Rochester, NH – Debra L. Roper, 49, of 13 Jacobs Drive lost her courageous battle with multiple myeloma on Thursday May 15, 2008, at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH.
    She was born Jan. 15, 1959, in Caribou, ME, the daughter of the late Merle and Velva (Langley) Jordan. She was a resident of Rochester since 1989 previously living in Maine, California, Guam and Louisiana. While following her husband as a military wife, she worked for the Army Air Force Exchange Service and her last employment was as a mail clerk at Liberty Mutual. Debra loved her family, especially cooking and decorating during the holiday seasons. Debbie was famous for her chocolate chip cookies and brownies. She had a passion for her pugs, “Otis”, “Buddy” and her golden “Belle.”
    Members of her family included her husband of 34 years, Robert L. Roper of Rochester, sons, Kevin and wife Rhiannon Roper, and Justin Roper of Rochester; daughter, Brandy  and husband Randy Page of S. Carolina; mother-in-law, Pat and husband Alan Innes of MA.; brothers, Wendell “Buzz” Jordan of CT., Robert Jordan of ME.; sisters, Barbara and Cliff Derry of ME., Brenda and Marty Martin of MS., Linda and Mike Wood, Shirley Jordan, Marla Jordan all of ME. four grandchildren, Olivia, Kiley, Trent and Isabelle, her niece-daughter, Nicole and Gus Karabetsos and their children, Katie, Eleanor, Sophia and many nieces and nephews.
    Family and friends may visit Sunday 1-4 p.m. at the R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, NH with a celebration of her life to follow at the family home on 13 Jacobs Drive in Rochester NH.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Seacoast Cancer Clinic,c/o Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, Central Ave. Dover NH, The Pug Rescue League  Mendon, Vt. or the Cocheco Valley Humane Society, County Farm Road, Dover, NH 03820.
