The following members of the Maine Federation Business and Professional Women’s Club were installed at its 87th BPW/Maine State Convention on June 7at the University of Maine at Fort Kent.

Each year local Business and Professional Women’s Clubs search for women who personify the ideals of BPW and have contributed to the advancement of the Federation. Chosen by Maine BPW at its 87th annual state convention, June 7th at the University of Maine at Fort Kent, to receive its award for 2008 was Rachel E. Albert Ph.D., RN, middle. Albert is vice president of academic affairs at UMFK and resides at Eagle Lake with family. Presenting the award was Woman of the Year State Committee Chair, Nancy Solman of Caribou, right. Also present during the ceremony was UMFK President Dr. Richard W. Cost.
