JoAnn will be remembered as an amazing, self sacrificing Mom.  She always made every holiday and occasion special for everyone in her family. She always welcomed and loved having her children’s friends into their home. She will be remembered by many for all of those fun times.  Jo was known for her community involvement by baking and cooking for families whom lost their loved ones, or were in need.  She will be remembered for her kindness, compassion for others, and especially for her quirky sense of humor.  Besides being a stay-at-home mom, Jo was employed part-time for the family business, Art’s Appliance & Furniture in Ashland. For a period of time, she also worked at the Ashland Central School as a teacher’s aid, as well as the Stimpson-Ouellette Funeral Home, in Ashland. Jo also served as a board member at the Ashland Health Center for a couple of years. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage on St. Froid Lake with her husband and family. More than anything, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, loving and cherishing them in each and every way.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James Collier; two daughters,  Kelley Spring and her husband, John, of Buxton; Katie Putnam and her husband, Phil, of Mapleton; one son, Kris, of Ashland; seven beautiful grandchildren, Abbey, Caleb, Zach, Miles, London, Libby, and Camdyn; one sister, Rae Caron, and her husband Richard, of Port Isabel, TX; one brother, Hayden, and his wife Debbie, of Brewer; also her father and mother-in-law, Art and Bertha Collier, of Ashland and Presque Isle; a very special aunt and uncle, Judy and Gerard Pelletier, of St. Francis; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
