Wednesday, June 11
3:19 p.m. High Street — Theft — An employee from a local business reported a shoplifter who had selected a beverage, opened and drank it while in the store, then left without paying .         Action — Officer was informed by subject that he had no money to pay for the drink nor did he have any intention of paying for it. Subject was transported to the police station. Agreement was made that he was not to enter the business for the remaining time he was in state. Female relative came to business and paid for item.
8:17 p.m. Lyndon Street — Suspicious Person — An employee from a local business reported an unfamiliar male subject hanging around the area.
    Action : Subject produced a Hawaii state ID to officer. Police determined subject to be on file out of Oregon, expired in 1983, currently suspended. Subject informed officer he had gotten off the bus that morning and would be leaving on the bus the next day.
    8:38 p.m. Bennett Drive — Motor Vehicle Complaint — An employee from a local business advised of vehicles racing in front of the business in the parking lot. Caller requested an officer as soon as possible due to trucks traveling at high rates of speed, posing a danger to anyone entering or leaving the business.
    Action — Police taking call could hear the exhaust noise of the racing trucks over the phone. Officer responded and witnessed a large group of juveniles and multiple pickups at the location. All individuals were told to leave the parking area.
11;10 p.m. Bennett Drive — Police Information – Police received reports of a scruffy looking male transient at a local business requesting a cup of hot water. After leaving, several employees located subject out back doing acrobatic stunts off the dumpster. Employees spoke to subject who left walking toward another business.
    Action — Police assumed subject was the same individual previously reported. Units will check the area.
Thursday, June 12
3:26 p.m. Broadway Street — Police Information — Caller advised police a no trespassing sign had been posted on a few trails in town and would remain posted until they are cleared for reasons of safety. Trails posted include Lyndon Street to Fort Bridge Street; Route 89 and the Broadway and Limestone trail by the railroad tracks.
4:05 p.m. Lower Lyndon Street — Juvenile Complaint — Caller  from a business location informed police of chasing away four juveniles who were jumping off the ice-breaker and swimming down stream toward the dam. Caller stated the business is running turbines underwater and it was quite a dangerous situation. Requested officers to check the area periodically in order to keep juveniles away from the equipment.
    Action — Officer located subjects and warned them not to do this action again.
Friday, June 13
9:15 p.m. Skyway Plaza — Criminal Mischief — Male caller advised police of receiving a call from his girlfriend stating she had caught a male subject keying his (caller’s) car at a local business. Caller informed police the subject had thrown female to the ground and left. Caller reported subject vehicle’s plate number.
    Action — Limestone Police Department was advised to watch for vehicle, and if located to arrest operator for assault. Subject was located, arrested and escorted to the town line where Caribou Police would take over.
Saturday, June 14
8:10 p .m. West Gate Road — Domestic — A male caller informed police that earlier in the day he had broken up a domestic dispute between two males and now the younger male is there with his eye nearly swollen shut.
    Action — Police were told the older subject had been in a domestic dispute with a female and the younger male tried to break it up and got an elbow to his eye. Younger male advised of a male subject was choking his mother and she couldn’t breath so he had tried to pull subject off her, resulting in the eye injury. Police will arrest subject for domestic assault when located.
10:30 p.m. Limestone Police Department — Agency Assistance — Limestone police requested Caribou officers to watch for a yellow trailer truck possible headed toward Caribou. Driver was involved in a domestic complaint in Limestone. Other information mentioned was the possibility of a weapon involved at the location of incident.
    Action — Officers located vehicle with subject as passenger. Subject held until Limestone officers arrived at location.
Sunday, June 15
9 p.m. Bennett Drive — Criminal Mischief — Caller advised police of a group of juveniles lighting sticks on fire in the gazebo on Bennett Drive.
    Action — Officer located juveniles who all took off running toward Glenn Street. Juveniles told officer they had lit a ‘hoodie’ on fire and were watching it burn. One male subject stated the item was his but he did not have the lighter. A female subject stated she had lost the lighter when running away. Officer spoke with the father of one subject who stated he would take care of the problem. No damage done to gazebo.
11:02 p.m. Clover Street — Burglary — Caller reported having caught a male juvenile trying to get into vehicles at the residence. Resident went outside with a baseball bat and subject took off running.
    Action — Officer checked the area and did not believe subject had made vehicle entry. Noted: Vehicles left unlocked are easy targets.
11:15 p.m. Bennett Drive — Police Information — Officer stated when stopped at a local business he had witnessed a male subject possibly under the influence based on the way he was acting. Vehicle going toward High Street.
    Action —  11:25 p.m. Officer was stopped at a business speaking with another officer when the subject’s vehicle pulled into and around behind the old Green Acres building. Officer checked the vehicle and discovered male subject with two female passengers. Police questioned subject as to why he was behind the building and were told by subject he collected scrap metal and was checking to see if there was anything there he might buy from the owners. The vehicle had a dealer plate and officer called the dealership and was informed to take the plate. Vehicle operator was not under the influence. Vehicle was towed.
Monday, June 16
5:09 p.m. Bennett Drive — Criminal Mischief — Caller reported seeing a group of juveniles playing around with a shopping cart in front of a local business, stating they were throwing the cart around, causing it to flip around in the parking lot, hitting into vehicles.
    Action — Juveniles had dispersed when officer arrived.
