Caribou – Melvina Maskell, 90, wife of the late Herman Maskell, died June 26, 2008, at Caribou following a brief illness. She was born in Hamlin March 9, 1918, the daughter of the late Paul and Louise (Levesque) Mazerolle. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She is survived by seven sons; Stanley Maskell Sr. and Charles Maskell Sr. both of Caribou, Roland Maskell of Southington, CT, Richard Maskell of Vasalboro, Gary Maskell of Meriden, CT, Herman Maskell of CT. and Elmer Sprague of Caribou. Six daughters; Barbara Ward of Plymouth, ME, Sherlene Ouellette of Baker Lake Canada, Ruth Hart of Zephyrhills, FL, Bonnie Largen of Fairbanks, Alaska, Phyllis Dubois of Caribou and Marie Maskell of Florida, one brother Clifford Mazerolle of Caribou and one sister Irene Pelletier of Hamlin. 44 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Maskell was predeceased by her husband, a daughter Eleanor Maskell, Seven brothers, Alcide, Victor, Donald, Camille, Guy, Peter and Houlton and one sister Madeline.
A memorial service was held 10 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hamlin. For online registery please go to www.mocklerfuneralhome.com.
