Billerica, MA – Phillip R. Hemphill, age 70, husband of Marlene F. (Langley) Hemphill, died unexpectedly at their home Monday, June 23, 2008.
He was born in Houlton, June 2, 1938, son of the late Burns and Irene (McGann) Hemphill and had lived in Northern Maine until moving to Billerica, MA in 1962.
Mr. Hemphill was the owner of Hemphill Tax Services in Billerica.
Besides his wife, Mr. Hemphill is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Elizabeth Hemphill of Redmond, WA, and Christopher and Namiyo Hemphill of Aliso Viejo, CA; three brothers, Donald Hemphill of Westbrook, ME, Frank Hemphill of Waterboro, ME, and Paul Hemphill of Norfolk, MA; one sister, Doris Gagnon of Stockholm, ME; two grandchildren, Sam and Jake Hemphill. He was also the brother of the late Olin Hemphill.
A memorial visitation was held Saturday, June 28, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA 01821.
