BANGOR – Young baseball players from the Caribou-area traveled to Bangor for the 2008 Pitch, Hit and Run State Competition on June 7. Little League athletes from all over the state who placed in the top three of their local event were able to attend the event. Despite tremendous downpours, local athletes fared well in the competition.

Kyle Soetaert-Beaulier won the bronze medal in the all-around competition at states.
In the 7- to 8-year-old competition, Kyle Soetaert-Beaulier won the bronze medal in all-around competition. In the 9- to 10-year-old competition, Donovan Savage placed eighth and Nicholas Frost placed 11th. In the 11- to 12-year-old competition, Matthew Milliard placed second, Sean Sadler placed fourth and Dayne Savage placed eighth. In the 13- to 14-year-old competition, Devin Berkoski placed sixth and Eric Tilmont placed eighth.
