Moran, Vernabelle V., 78, July 20, 2008. Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.     Houlton and Raymond – Vernabelle V. Moran, 78, died July 20, 2008, at a Scarborough health care facility. She was born August 4, 1929, at Houlton, the daughter of Murray and Clare (VanTassel) Varney.
    Vernabelle was the Patient’s Account Manager at Houlton Regional Hospital for many years. She enjoyed spending summers with her husband and friends at their camp on East Grand Lake. She also enjoyed a good meal, especially if lobster was served.
    She is survived by her children, Robert Moran and his partner Dianna Simpson of Bar Harbor and Debbie Tarsetti of Raymond; two grandchildren, Santino and Sarah Tarsetti of Raymond; two sisters, Nancy Fitzpatrick and her husband John of Houlton and Patrica Quinn of Windham; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin "Jake" Moran and her brother Murray "Mickey" Varney.
    At Vernabelle’s request there will be no funeral, those who wish may make gifts in her memory to Gosnell Hospice Home, 11 Hunnewell Road, Scarborough, ME 04070. A service of Dunn Funeral Home Houlton.
