PEANUT CANDIDATES – The 53rd annual Peanut Parade was Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Market Square, with the carnival of games on Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. on the tennis courts at the Houlton Recreational Department. The coronation of this year’s King and Queen will be held at 8 p.m. in the recreation center’s gymnasium. This year’s King and Queen candidates are, from left, 5-6-year-olds Martha King and Derek Brown, far right; front center, 9-13-year-olds, Jacob Condon and Emily Brown; back, from left, 9-10-year-olds Abby Schools and Devan Dow and 7-8-year-olds, Brandon Dunn and Amelia Hanning.
