    LINNEUS – Donald Merritt, 72, died August 6, 2008, at his home. He was born December 31, 1935, in Houlton, the son of Ralph and Iona (Ireland) Merritt.
    He is survived by  children, Brad of CA, Audrey of Saco, Brent of Bangor, and James of Littleton; several grand and great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald of TN; one sister, Phyllis of Linneus; several nieces, nephews and one special cousin, Jerry. He was predeceased by his parents; and wife, Connie Hoyt.
