Danforth & Fort Kent – Leland Frederick Roy, 64, died August 11, 2008, at a local healthcare facility. He was born June 7, 1944, at Fort Kent, the son of Albert and Victorian (Dionne) Roy.
    Leland attended school in the Fort Kent area. He was enlisted in the US Army for two years and was a member of the National Guard. He worked in the Fort Kent area on various construction and labor jobs.
    Leland is survived by his children, Donald Roy of Newington, CT, Allen Roy of Greenville, NH, Elizabeth Carver of Auburn; numerous friends in the St. Francis, Portage Lake and Fort Kent areas; the staff and his friends at the Danforth Residential Center, the Baskhegan Valley Community Supports and the community. He was predeceased by his parents and several siblings.
    A memorial service will be held Thursday 10 a.m. at the Calvary Full Gospel Assembly Church in Danforth with Rev. Robert Root officiating. A service of Dunn Funeral Home.
