Shiretown Coins: The area’s premier collectable store for 25 years

    HOULTON — For the past 25 years, Shiretown Coins has been a hub for collectors thanks to its broad array for everything from coins to cards.
    Shiretown Coins stocks collector cards of all sorts, coins, stamps, Civil War memorabilia. They are also an authorized dealer for Lionel trains and have just about everything for the Red Sox fans.
    The Market Square business also deals in gold and silver bullion, diamonds and estate jewelry.
    “We strive to be the area’s premier collectable store,” explained Owner Galen Wilde.
    Wilde’s passion for collecting started with his own childhood collection of stamps and continues even today.
    “It’s just what I’ve always done. I’ve been collecting stamps since I was six or seven years old and I have an avid interest in history — that’s what got me into the coins.”
    Customer service is also a central part of day-to-day operations at Shiretown Coins, said Wilde.
    “Customer service is important to me, as is a customer’s trust and confidence.”
