The Aroostook County Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and the Crown of Maine Chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) are pleased to announce their first annual Mini PDI/PDC on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be held at the Loring Job Corps Banquet Hall with the theme of the workshop being “Serving America through Fiscal Responsibility.” Guest speakers include: Terri McKay, director, Defense Finance and Accounting Service; Robert Hale, executive director, American Society of Military Comptrollers; Bobby Derrick, field representative, Association of Government Accountants; Colonel Joseph Wannemacher, United States property and fiscal officer; and Dr. Don N. Zillman, president, University of Maine Presque Isle.
The workshop is a one-day version of the associations’ national conferences held each summer. The workshop brings together members of the chapters as well as community members involved in the arena of government finance for a day of educational sessions and a chance to earn continuing professional education units (CPEs).
