Farm Bill is meeting topic

    Farmers, forest landowners, land managers and others interested in the Conservation and Commodity Titles of the 2008 Farm Bill are invited to attend an information workshop on Thursday, Nov. 13 in Houlton.
    Hosted by the Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District (SASWCD), the workshop will be held at the Houlton Higher Education Center, Room 110, 18 Military St., from 6:30– 8:30 p.m.
    The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the USDA Farm Service Agency will be providing up-to-date information on the Farm Bill and what assistance may be available to you, followed by questions and answers.
    For those, who are unable to make the evening Farm Bill session in Houlton, there will also be a meeting in Presque Isle the afternoon of November 13. The Presque Isle workshop will be held at Wieden Auditorium, UMPI from 1– 4 p.m.
