    BRIDGEWATER – Myrtle L. Hartley, 92, wife of the late Isaiah Hartley, died November 11, 2008, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born April 3, 1916, in Mars Hill ,the daughter of Judson and Lula Mae (McEntee) Cray.
    She was a member of the Bridgewater Free Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Bridgewater Senior Citizens. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking for her family.
    She is survived by two daughters, Betty Foss and her husband Doug of Blaine, Sylvia Knox of Westfield; four sisters, Rena LaFrancis of Presque Isle, Mildred Liakakes of Vermont, Esther Myford of Machias, Elaine Stewart of Ludlow; a brother, Gerald Cray of Presque Isle; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;  and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Lula Cleaves and Barbara Frost as well as other brothers and sisters.
    Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill, with Pastor Lawrence Beals officiating.
