The Caribou Ecumenical Food Pantry is celebrating it’s tenth year of providing an emergency food service to those who are hungry. As a Caribou area business or civic organization, the Caribou Ecumenical Food Pantry is urging the community, in this very difficult time, to participate in the facility’s “November Nutrition” program. Because of many generous gifts to the nutrition drive in 2007, it is possible to continue to function and share emergency food with those in need.
From all reports Lynne Josselyn, president of the Caribou Ecumenical Food Pantry said, “We anticipate a winter of people needing food, fuel, and friendship. The Food Pantry must be ready to supply the food needed for persons facing difficult financial days and months ahead. Even in these last three months, our Food Pantry recipient families have nearly doubled over the figures for 2007.”
Josselyn added, “We urge you to continue your support with financial giving, prayers and backing in anyway. Your willingness to keep our food program going will be sincerely appreciated.
Contributions and words of support may be mailed to: Caribou Ecumenical Food Pantry c/o Bobbi Pelletier, treasurer 7 Pioneer Avenue Caribou, Me. 04736. Please make checks to Caribou Ecumenical Food Pantry.
Members of businesses or organizations are welcome to visit the pantry any Tuesday or Thursday morning from 9-10:30 a.m.
