Chamber announces holiday contests

    HOULTON — The Chamber of Commerce is requesting that everyone get involved and show what community spirit is all about! It just takes one person to encourage one person to encourage another and a difference is made.
    The theme is "Winter Wonderland" making it easy and do-able for everyone who wants to be involved. The Chamber's goal is to create an atmosphere and attitude throughout our community where every single person, visiting or shopping, will leave inspired and awed by the efforts each shopkeeper and homeowner put into helping create this winter wonderland.
    In a year where economics plays a big role for all of us, it is the simple things that can make a difference in how we get through the season. Everyone has an old box of lights or decorations hidden away somewhere.
