Hanover Park, Illinois – Robert “Bob” L. Donahue, 73, passed away on October 31, 2008, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in New Limerick, Me. on November 26, 1933, to the late Leland and Ethel (Hand) Donahue. Bob was retired from Ingersoll-Rand, a Korean War Air Force Veteran, and a member of DAV for 42 years.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sandy; daughter, Regina Kilby; and two step-daughters, Yvonne Kenny and Suzanne Bowdish; two sisters, Fern Spurlin and her husband Phillip of Biloxi, Miss., Judith Cormier and her husband Roger of Shediac Cape, New Brunswick, Canada; three brothers, Fred Donahue and his wife Shelly of New Limerick, Me., Linwood Donahue and his wife Barbara of Fredericksburg, Va., and Kenneth Donahue and his wife Cheri of Chesapeake, Va.; 2 grandchildren, Chris and Renee Kilby; and a great-granddaughter McKenzie Dillon-Donahue; and several nieces and nephews.
Interment was at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Illinois. Arrangements by Countryside Funeral Home, Bartlett, Ill.
