Local teams to play in preseason hoop tourney

    Houlton High School Alumni Gymnasium will be the site of a Preseason Basketball Tournament featuring local teams this weekend.
    On Friday, Nov. 28, the tournament opens with the Hodgdon girls taking on Southern Aroostook at 1 p.m., followed by the boy’s game between Hodgdon and Southern Aroostook at 2:30 p.m. In the nightcap, the Houlton teams will play Katahdin, with the girl’s game starting at 4 p.m. and the boy’s contest at 5:30  p.m.
    On Saturday, the games will begin in the afternoon at 1 p.m. as the Hodgdon boys face Katahdin, followed by the Hodgdon/Katahdin girl’s game at 2:30 p.m. To cap off the tournament, the Houlton boys will take on Southern Aroostook at 4 p.m. and the Houlton girls will meet Southern Aroostook in the final game at 5:30 p.m.
