Hockey team drops opener to John Bapst

    The Presque Isle High School varsity hockey team started its regular season on Dec. 6 in Bangor, facing off against the John Bapst Crusaders.
    J.B. jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period despite the shots on goal being equal at 6.     In the second period, Mark Carvell scored with assists going to Mitch Davis and Brennen Shaw. J.B. answered right back to make it 4-1 after 2 frames.
    In the final period, P.I. added their last goal of the game when Isaac Lajoie converted on a Jason Martin rebound. The final score was 4-2 in favor of J.B.
    P.I. outshot J.B. 24-20 on the night and the Wildcats’ play at home against York on Dec. 13 at 1 p.m.
