Reanna Plourde, this year’s St. Lucia, led the way offering pepparkakor, or ginger cookies to those attending the traditional St. Lucia Day ceremony held at Monica’s Scandinavian Imports, located on Sweden Street in Caribou. The ceremony is a northern European custom celebrating the return of light.
