Roger Ouellette, 77, of Bedford, died at the Manchester VA Nursing Home on December 19, 2008.
He was born in Caribou, Maine on June 17, 1931, to Dennis and Anna (Bouchard) Ouellette. He had six sisters and three brothers and his wife, Norma C. Ouellette also from Caribou; his four children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was a fixed wing and helicopter pilot in the US Army, serving two tours in the Vietnam War and retiring after 30 years. He was a highly decorated and respected during his military career.
There will be a ceremony at Caribou Veterans’ Cemetery in June. Donations in his memory can be made to Northern Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, PO Box 312, Caribou, ME 04736-0312. The Phaneuf Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
