Lamoreau, Kenneth E., 83, Presque Isle; in Caribou, January 12, 2009. Interment will take place in the spring at Johnson Cemetery, Presque Isle. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

 

ImagePRESQUE ISLE – Kenneth E. Lamoreau, 83, passed away Monday, January 12, 2009, at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou. He was born September 1, 1925, in Presque Isle, the son of Merle and Minnie (Adams) Lamoreau.  
    Kenneth graduated from Presque Isle High School and then went on to serve his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He married Winona Joy Young on July 20, 1952 and together they raised their four children on the family farm in Presque Isle. Kenneth was a jack of all trades and whatever needed fixing he always knew how to fix. He taught furniture upholstery for many years at the adult education classes at Presque Isle High School.  Kenneth was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church all of his life.  
    He is survived by his wife, Winona Lamoreau of Caribou; two sons: David Lamoreau and his wife Kim of Caribou and Kevin Lamoreau and his wife Rita of Presque Isle; a daughter, Kathy Marston and her husband Robert of Presque Isle; nine grandchildren; and one great- grandson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Joseph.
    Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2009, at the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle with Pastor Mark Harris officiating.  Friends called from 1 p.m. until time of service.
