Congratulations to Cary Medical Center’s 2009 New Year’s Baby, Olivia Marie Canwell, her parents, Sara Canwell and James Carrero and big sister, Marissa of Van Buren.

Olivia, born Jan. 14, at 9:03 a.m., weighing 7 pounds and 4.2 ounces, was the first baby of the new year to arrive at Cary Medical Center. Olivia and her parents were presented with gifts from Cary Medical Center and the Hospital Auxiliary. Each auxiliary member donated an item for a New Year's Baby Basket, which included items for the newborn and for Mom and Dad. Phil's Florist of Caribou, also donated a gift plus the wrapping and bow for the gift basket.
Cary Auxiliary members have coordinated this project, as well as making personal donations, over the past four years to the first baby born in the new year at Cary Medical Center.
