Lawrence, Geraldine D., 74, February 26, 2009.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.     Houlton – Geraldine Derrah Lawrence, 74, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 26, 2009, at Houlton Regional Hospital. She was born March 15, 1934, at Greenfield, NB, Canada, the daughter of Stephen and Mary (Smith) Derrah.
    Gerry attended schools in Florenceville, NB and Houlton. She was employed by Houlton Regional Hospital and Visiting Nurses of Aroostook as a Certified Nurse’s Aide. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a special place in her heart for her cocker spaniels Chelsea and Nala.
    Gerry is survived by four daughters, Debbie Beals and her husband Terry of Ludlow, Janice Brown and her husband Sam of Linneus, Jackie Tompkins and her husband Les of Hartland, NB, Trisha Lawrence and her husband Vince of Orrington; eight special grandchildren, Alissa Black, Dawn Waye, Megan and Patrick Beals, Jenna and Josh Tompkins, Alex and Abbie Lawrence; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Everette Lawrence; sister, Nellie Adams; brothers, Francis, Charles, Arnold, Clarence, William, John and Leo Derrah.
    Friends called 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Dunn Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at the funeral home Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
