Aroostook League all-stars selected for winter season

    The Aroostook League has developed an awards program for their member schools to honor athletes as “All-Aroostook” for their accomplishments during their sports seasons.
    Team sports All-Aroostook (soccer, basketball, baseball, softball and tennis) are selected by the coaches while individual sports All-Aroostook (cross country, golf, alpine and nordic skiing, swimming, wrestling and track and field) are selected by criteria established by the Aroostook League.
    Athletes are awarded an All-Aroostook certificate at their winter sports award assemblies by the coaches of their various sports.
    This year’s All-Aroostook athletes are grouped by category.
    In Class B boys’ basketball: Cameron Anderson and Sam Roberston (Caribou), Nate Ackerson, Ethan Braley and Russ Mortland (Presque Isle).
    In Class B girls’ basketball: Amanda Cyr, Kristen Espling and Katie Ouellette (Caribou), Sarah Porter and Kayla Richards (Presque Isle).
    In Class D boys’ basketball: Jeremy Tarr (Ashland), Caleb Kelly, Manny Martinez and Logan McLaughlin (Central Aroostook), Sam Bacon and Bradley Trask (Easton), Josh Booth, Austin Dufour and Doug Sharpe (Fort Fairfield), Brandon Hopkins (Limestone/MSSM) and Nick McIntosh (Washburn).
    In Class D girls’ basketball: Suzanne Poulin (Ashland), Rachael Grew and Vicki McIntyre (Central Aroostook), Whitney Clark and Kaitlyn McLaughlin (Fort Fairfield), Kellie Peers (Limestone/MSSM) and Rebecca Campbell and Rachel Palmer (Washburn).
    In boys’ Nordic events: Finn Bondeson, Caleb Chapman, Taylor Jepson, Christian Sleeper, Jared Sleeper and Jesse Stephens (Caribou).
    In girls’ Nordic events: Madison Outing and Katie Plourde (Caribou) and Melissa McKenney (Fort Fairfield).
    In boys’ Alpine events: Ethan Garrison, Caleb Jewett and Shane Miller (Central Aroostook) and Ethan McDuffie (Caribou).
    In girls’ Alpine events: Elizabeth Barbosa and Lydia Kieffer (Caribou), Amber Griffin and Jennifer Steeves (Presque Isle).
    In boys’ Alpine/Nordic events: Matt Graves (Central Aroostook) and Lucas Mathers (Presque Isle).
    In girls’ Alpine/Nordic events: Laura Collins (Caribou) and Hallie Bartlett (Presque Isle).
    In boys’ swimming: Ian Connolley, Zach Corriveau, Tyler Drake, John Forbes and Kyle Maier (Caribou), Ethan Maguire and Doug McCadden (Limestone/MSSM), Jacob Brawn, Matt Dunn, Jordan Francke, Kyle Gilson, Stephen Goulet, Lucas Richards, Locke Robbins, Cameron Winter and Warren Zubrick (Presque Isle).
