2009 Miss Caribou Pageant set for Saturday, March 21

    The 2009 Miss Caribou Scholarship Pageant, sponsored by the Caribou Lioness Club will be held Saturday, March 21, at the Caribou Middle School.

     With the theme, ‘Lights! Camera! Action!, three young Caribou High School ladies will vie for the Miss Caribou title. Hosting the evenings events will be Miss Potato Blossom Queen, Molly Bouchard and the current reigning Miss Caribou, Sherry Zyblut will provide special entertainment as well as assist in the crowing of her successor.
    The 2009 Miss Caribou contestants are: Sarah-Jeanne McGlinn, Kaysie Nichole Pelletier and Danielle Ruth Lane.
    McGlinn is the daughter of Craig and Mary McGlinn. A 17-year-old senior at Caribou High School, she will be performing a vocal selection for her talent presentation. Her sponsors are Craig McGlinn Master Electrician, Dahlgren Christmas Tree Farms, ACES Electric and the Caribou Movie Theater. Sarah-Jeanne is vice president of the senior class and is a member of the National Honor Society.
    Kaysie Nichole Pelletier, the daughter of Brian and Karen Pelletier is 17 years old and a junior at the Caribou High School. For her talent she will be performing a self-composed baton-twirling routine. Sponsored by Sullivan’s Floor Covering of Caribou, Kaysie  is a new member of the Caribou High School National Honor Society and serves as president of the junior class.
    Danielle Ruth Lane is the daughter of Kurt and Delores Lane. She is a 16-year-old junior at the Caribou High School and will be performing a vocal selection during the talent presentations. Danielle, a member of the Caribou High School National Honor Society, is sponsored by Second Hand Rose, Caribou Food Trend and Deli and Small Steps Dance.
    Tickets are available from the contestants or by calling Vicki at 551-7073 . Tickets will be available at the door but  Lioness members encourage purchasing them early due to limited seating.
    This year’s pageant director, Jan Tompkins reminds everyone to be aware of the change in the location of the pageant for this year. “Remember, the lights, cameras and action will be at the Caribou Middle School, on Saturday, March 21, 7 p.m. Not at the Caribou Performing Arts Center as in recent years.”
