Anna Soderberg was selected as Student of the Month for February from the fifth-grade Sur’five’ors team. “Anna is a humble, conscientious and hard working student, who has maintained high honors this year,” stated her teachers, Mr. Travis Barnes, Mrs. Jola Hebert and Mrs. Kim Barnes.
“Her Sur’five’ors classmates hold her in high esteem because she is always respectful in her endeavors,” added her teachers. “Anna is helpful, kind and fun to be around. She is a very well rounded and capable students, who is definitely deserving of being February’s Student of the Month,” they added.
Eden Howell is the February Student of the Month in the grade-five ‘Brainiacs’ team. Her teachers, Mrs. Ouellette and Mrs. Levasseur said, “Eden is involved in many activities at CMS. She is a member of the civil rights team, sings in the chorus and also play the violin. She puts a lot of effort into everything she does and is a great role model for her peers.”
“Eden is also an honor roll student,” the CMS teacher added, “she had adjusted well to Caribou Middle School and is an excellent student.”
Taya Damboise, a member of the grade-six ‘WOW’s’ team, was selected by her teachers Ms. Duncan and Mrs. Holmes to be their Student of the Month for February. “Taya is outstanding in every facet,” stated her teachers, “she works very diligently and attains high honors. She is always looking for ways to help others and is kind and respectful. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family.”
The CMS teachers continued, “When asked to help or participate in class activities she is always willing and is a leader encouraging everyone to do their best and be their best. Taya certainly exhibits the highest level of all qualities to make her our outstanding student.”
Kristopher Michaud, a member of the sixth-grade ‘Sixceeders’ team was named February Student of the Month by his teachers Mrs. Bouchard, Mr. Pelletier and Mrs. Dionne. “Kristopher is an absolutely extraordinary student,” said his teachers, “he participates in the gifted and talented program, band and cross country skiing.”
The CMS staff members also stated, “Kristopher received a state award for his artistic talents in Augusta, during a tea with the governor’s wife, Karen Baldacci. Kris excels in his academics and socially with his peers.”
Emilee Sirois was selected as February Student of the Month by her teachers, Mr. Thompson and Mrs. Rhinbolt of the grade-seven ‘Stars’ team. The two teachers said, “A wonderful student who takes great pride in everything she attempts to do, Emilee is very active in the CMS music program, where she participates in band, jazz band and show choir and she is also a member of the basketball team.”
“Emilee’s favorite subject is ELA and she enjoys reading, researching topics of interest on the computer and playing with her pet,” noted her teachers, “She is always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need, we really appreciate all of her hard work.”
Daniel Powers is a members of the seventh-grade ‘Swat’ team and was selected to be Student of the Month for February by his teachers Ms. Richardson, Mrs. Curtis and Mr. Perreault. The Caribou Middle School teachers stated, “Daniel is a tremendously hard worker in school and is diligent in getting his work completed and done well. He is always helpful and cheerful throughout the school day and he volunteers his time to help out others and maintains honor roll level work in school.”
“Daniel is a member of the Boy Scouts in Caribou and is pursuing his Eagle Scout certification which measures both his outstanding skills and work ethic as a Scout and also a high moral character,” said his teachers. “Through the Boy Scouts, Dan learns to be successful in tackling challenges and to be good at working well together with others.”
Ashley Richards, a student in grade eight, was selected by her teachers, Mrs. Dow, Mrs. Sleeper, Mr. Barnes, Mr. Fantasia and Mrs. Boma to be their choice for Student of the Month for February. “Ashley is an excellent student who also involved in many extra-curricular school activities,” reported her teachers.
“Ashley currently participates in band, chorus, show choir, civil rights team, the eighth-grade leadership team and is a member of the Nordic ski team,” added the CMS teachers. “She has also participated in cross-country running and basketball and plans to play tennis in the spring.”
Mackenzie Belyea is an eighth-grade student, chosen by her teachers Mrs. Dow, Mrs. Sleeper, Mr. Barnes, Mr. Fantasia and Mrs. Boma, to be CMS Student of the Month for February. The team teachers said, “Mackenzie is a pleasure to have in class and always does her best work. She is a true leader in the classroom and in our school who is active in many extra curricular endeavors.”
“Mackenzie works with the civil rights team, is a member of the Nordic and alpine ski teams and participates in the Caribou Middle School chorus and show choir,” stated the teachers, “ as well as All-“Aroostook Chorus. Mackenzie is an honor roll student and in her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding.”
