Matter of balance
    The Aroostook Area Agency on Aging is offering a class on balance. Have you noticed that your balance is not what it used to be? Are you afraid of falling and are not sure how to prevent a fall? Do you need an exercise program that “even you can do”? If you answered yes to any of these questions then this program is for you.     Classes meet at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center on Thursdays from Feb. 5 through March 26 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. There is a $2.50 donation per class suggested. Walking hours
    Walking hours at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center are as follows. Monday through Friday 6 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturdays 12-4 p.m. Please note that on Saturday, March 14, there will be no walking.
Beach Blast
    On Saturday, March 14, Beach Blast 3 will be held at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Want stress relief?
    Join us and bring the whole family for an evening of fun, food, games and dancing. Some of the events planned are a hula hoop contest, hot coconut toss, face painting, luau relay, hula dance contest, music chairs and more.
    Admission is $10 per person and $5 for kids ages 12 and under. Supper will be served from 6-7 p.m. and music, games and dancing from 7-9 p.m.
    Tickets are available at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.
Baseball Fundamentals clinic
    A baseball fundamentals clinic is being offered to youths ages 9-12 at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center from March 23 through April 16.
    Youths ages 9-10 meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-4:30 p.m. and youths ages 11-12 meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:30 p.m.
    Each session will deal with the mechanics and the breakdown of individual positions on a baseball team. Pre-registration is required.
Men’s softball meeting
    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for men’s softball on Thursday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Any team wishing to participate in a league this season must have a representative at the meeting. For additional information please contact Matt at 493-4224.
Co-ed softball meeting
    The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will hold an organizational meeting for co-ed softball on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center. Hershey Track and Field
    Hershey Track and Field program is for youths ages 9-14 and meets Mondays-Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. beginning April 27. This program introduces youths to the basic fundamentals of running, throwing and jumping.
    Boys and girls participating in this program may be eligible to move onto the regional finals. Pre-registration is required for this program.
Cary exercise program
    The Cary exercise program meets at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The fee is $1 per person per class.
