Little League registration April 6

    The Caribou Little League will have its 1st meeting of the 2009 season on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Caribou Recreation/Wellness Center at 6:30 p.m.     All returning managers and coaches are asked to attend. Any person wishing to get involved with the program is also encouraged to attend. The meeting will cover many topics including this year’s schedule, rule changes, game operations, etc.
    Additionally, the Caribou Little League will hold its registration meeting for the 2009 season on Monday, April 6 at 7 pm. The meeting will be held in the Caribou Middle School Cafeteria.
    All girls and boys that are 9 to 12 years old on or before April 30, 2009 are urged to attend with their parents. Those trying out for the first time are required to bring a copy of their birth certificate or a document which will verify their birth date and a completed application form.
    Applications for Little League Baseball are available at the following schools: Hilltop, Teague Park, Connor, Woodland and New Sweden. Applications may also be attained at the meeting on Monday, April 6. Returning players who are still eligible to play in the league must fill out a new application form for 2009 and are encouraged to attend this meeting with their parents.
    Along with receiving information for the upcoming season, all managers will be introduced and a raffle will be held with some lucky winners taking home Little League baseballs and a gift certificate from Reno’s Family Restaurant. Tryouts for 2009 are Saturday April 11, at the new Caribou Recreation Gymnasium. More information on the time for the tryouts will be announced at the meeting. All those interested in playing Little League Baseball this summer are urged to try-out as there will be openings for many new players.
