To the editor:
After 32 years of practicing dentistry in Presque Isle, it is with many fond memories and a great deal of sadness and anticipation, that my wife Pam and I announce we will be leaving my hometown of Presque Isle to relocate to the Topsham/Brunswick area. I have a special thank you for two groups of people: my staff and my patients. To my staff who made Academy General Dentistry a wonderful place to work and who became my second family. The hygiene staff of Anne, Sue, Patty, Margaret, Cheryl, Amy and Nancy are second to none in Aroostook County or the state. They are professional and loyal to quality care for their patients. The front office staff, past and present: Sandi, Joy, Shelley, Tamia, Judy, Amanda and Mary deserve much credit for making the days go smoothly. A special thanks to Stacey from me and the hygienists! Last and by far not the least, I want to thank my assistants both past and present: Karen, Lisa, Debbie and of course Rena and Mary who put up with me for 30 years.
I would like to next thank my wonderful patients. You have given me many wonderful memories and I shall always be grateful to your kindness and thoughtfulness. I will miss all of you terribly. A special good bye to Sherry Ouellette and her parents who have made me realize what life is really all about.
As I start practicing at Evergreen Dental on Western Avenue in Augusta with an old friend and colleague, I will always hold my years of practice in Presque Isle as a cherished memory.
I wish the new management team the best of luck in the future development of what was Academy General Dentistry.
I will miss all of my friends, staff and patients — a heartfelt “thank you” to all of you for being a wonderful part of my life journey.
