Gagnon’s Auto & RV Sales, Inc., held a ribbon-cutting ceremony May 15 at the company’s new location, 238 Main St., Presque Isle. “We also have a dealership at 500 Main St. in Caribou. We sell Buick, Pontiac and GMC vehicles,” said Gary Gagnon, owner.
Gagnon’s expanded to the new location at 238 Main St. in Presque Isle, with a soft opening held last fall.
“We initially opened Oct. 15, 2008, but waited for better weather to hold our grand opening,” explained Gagnon.
The business specializes in the sale of pre-owned vehicles.
“The advantage with being a used car dealer is we get a lot of local trade-ins — pre-owned autos from local customers,” he said.
“We’re also buying a lot of company cars with no miles on them,” said Greg Cropley, sales representative.
“We’re getting 2009 models but with few miles on them. They’re brand new but cost thousands less,” added Gagnon.
Gagnon is no stranger to car sales.
“I’ve been in the business for 27 years. We’ve built up a good reputation in the area and thought it was time to open a place in Presque Isle,” Gagnon said.
Gagnon’s employs 18 people between the two locations.
Sales aren’t the only services you’ll find at Gagnon’s.
“We also offer full detailing of vehicles,” said Gagnon. “We also plan to have a service department. It’s not open yet but we’re working on that for the future.”
Business has picked up since the first of the year, according to Gagnon.
“The last three months have been good,” said Gagnon, noting warmer temperatures have been a factor in the increase in customers.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, contact 493-3358, ext. 310.
“Our goal is to grow, grow, grow,” said Gagnon. “Whatever type of vehicle you’re looking for, come see us and we’ll help you find what’s best for you.”
