Dahlgren, Guy T. Jr., 73, Perham; in Rockledge, FL., April 27, 2009. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Woodland. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Perham. Arrangements in the care of Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

 

    Perham – Guy T. Dahlgren Jr, 73, husband of Marjorie L. (Campbell) Dahlgren, passed away April 27, 2009, at Wuesthoff Medical Center, Rockledge, Florida. He was born at Caribou, May 9, 1935, the son of Guy T. and Edith (Johnson) Dahlgren. He was a 1952 graduate of Caribou High School and attended the University of Maine, Orono.  He subsequently continued his love of farming on the Tangle Ridge Road in Perham, where he farmed, raised his family, retired and resided there from his birth until his death. He was especially proud of his Swedish heritage, appreciating the history of his maternal and paternal great-grandparents immigrating to the Boston area in the 1870’s. His special times were at Square Lake from 1968, then building the family camp on the lot with his brothers Elwin and Reggie. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland, former Tax collector of Perham and was also a member of the Fish River Lakes Leaseholders Association.
    “Junior” is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marjorie L. (Campbell) Dahlgren of Perham, his son Gregory G. Dahlgren of Orlando, FL, his daughter Diane L. Dahlgren of Caribou, his brother Elwin Dahlgren and his wife Claire of Grottoes, VA, sister-in-law Captola Dahlgren of Caribou, nieces and nephews Gary, Rosalie, Gwen, Beth, Randall, Heather, Karen, William Jr., David and a special niece Rhonda who lovingly assisted him and his family during this difficult time, also brothers-in-law Lt. Col. (Ret.) Paul M. Campbell and his wife Norma of Vincentown, N.J., William H. Campbell of Rockledge, FL and David G. Campbell of Seminole, FL. “Uncle June-June” is also survived by his adored Dayna Sue and Simone` Renee` and their much loved parents Katie and Rick Michaud of Perham. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by an infant son Steven, a sister Adeline Harris and her husband George and a brother Reginald Dahlgren.
    A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2009, at the First Baptist Church of Woodland, with the Pastor Ron Rosser, officiating.  Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Perham.  Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Guy may do so to the First Baptist Church of Woodland memorial fund.  Friends and family are encouraged to gather downstairs at the church following the services for visitation and a time of fellowship.
