Image    Madawaska Lake and Caribou – Janet K. Bouchard 66, died unexpectedly May 14, 2009 at her Madawaska Lake residence. She was born in Caribou December 7, 1942, the daughter of the late Harold and J. Claudine (Haley) Anderson. Mrs. Bouchard was a 1960 graduate of Caribou High School and was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. She was employed as a victim witness advocate for the Caribou District Attorney’s office for many years. Janet was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. She loved the lake and especially enjoyed kayaking with her sister Sylvia. She was a member of the Madawaska Lake Campers Association, where she served as a director for many years. Janet married Dale  Bouchard April 28, 1962.
    Surviving, in addition to her husband of Madawaska Lake, are her three sons Jeffery Bouchard and his wife Bonnie of Caribou and their children Travis and Molly, Jason Bouchard and his wife Jill of Enfield and their children Rebecca and Jacob, and Jon Bouchard of Holden  and his children Jonathan, Cole and Rilee. Two sisters Claudia Sealander of Caribou and Sylvia Plourde of Madawaska Lake. Several nieces and nephews. Janet will be fondly remembered by a special Uncle and Aunt, Atwood “Bud” and Joan Anderson of Clearwater, Fl and a special Aunt, Rita Haley, and as well as many special friends including Sandra May of El Dorado, Ca.  Mrs. Bouchard was predeceased by a sister Judy Rideout.
    Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir Street Caribou from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. A funeral mass was celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday May 18, 2009 from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Jean-Paul Labrie, pastor, officiating. Interment took place  in the Evergreen Cemetery.
