CARIBOU — The Caribou School of Martial Arts will be hosting a seminar on Lessons In Violence Evasion (LIVE) on Saturday, May 30 from 3 to 6 p.m. “In my 13 years of martial arts experience, this is the most effective material and concepts I have ever seen,” said Loren Gordon owner of and instructor for the Tai Gi Shin Dojo in Caribou. “The skills taught through the seminar aren’t dependant on memorized movements for specific attacks,” he explained, “it’s a more natural movement. Every female should take this course,” he recommended.
The LIVE program created for women to protect themselves is based on escaping versus fighting, and was created by Theresa Murphy and Dennis Mahoney, co owners of Shinobi Martial Arts and authors of A Different Ending: Lessons In Violence Evasion.
To assure a spot in the seminar, pre-registration is available and suggested. The cost of the program is $40.
