RETURN ENGAGEMENT — They came from as far away as Presque Isle and Virginia for popular inspirational singer DC Washington who played to a packed house estimated between 550 and 560 in the Houlton Wesleyan Church, Saturday evening, to benefit the Greater Houlton Christian Academy. Backed up by a 31-member choir and a full orchestra of 37 musicians, mainly from the Houlton area, the concert was a huge success with families on a summer-like evening as thunderous applause echoed through the church. In the photo, former resident, Michaele Black on violin, traveled from Portland to accompany DC Washington as he sang “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need.” At intermission, Washington, who performed here last year, said he was “having a ball” and he “loves it here in Houlton.”
