Flag Day, June 14 – American Legion Post 47, offers disposal

    With great respect, the members of the legion will properly dispose of worn, damaged or tattered American, state, county, municipal and POW flags that are no longer fitting symbols due to condition.
    Every year on Flag Day, the Legion performs a flag retirement ceremony. If you have a flag or flags that needs to be disposed of, please drop them off at the American Legion Post 47 at 184 Bangor Street anytime after 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The Legion accepts flags for disposal year round.
