PRESQUE ISLE — Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at Perry’s Mini Mart on the Houlton Rd. “The owner called the Presque Isle Police Department June 6 to report that someone had broken into the store. He indicated once entry was gained, the suspect(s) damaged the cash register and took some money,” said Det. Sergeant Wayne Selfridge, PIPD.
Officer Larry Fickett responded and confirmed access was gained, with the perpetrator(s) entering through one of the store’s doors. In addition to over $200 missing, cigarettes and merchandise were also reported stolen.
“We’re hoping anyone with information on this crime will contact Crime Stoppers at 800-638-8477. You don’t have to give your name. Anyone providing information that leads to an arrest is eligible for an award,” said Selfridge.
The case remains under investigation, pending new leads.
