PRESQUE ISLE – The annual meeting of Maine Mutual Group was held April 8 at the home office of the company in Presque Isle. Roger J. Roy, executive vice president and chief operating officer, reported the financial results of 2008 to the policyholders present. Larry M. Shaw, president and chief executive officer announced, after a vote by policyholders present and by proxy, that the following directors were elected to a new three-year term: John H. Cashwell III, Michael D. MacPherson, Jay Y. McCrum and Lisa M. Ventriss.
Currently serving on the board of directors are Tom E. Gagnon, chairman, Presque Isle; John H. Cashwell III, vice chairman, Bangor; Larry M. Shaw, CPCU, president and CEO, Presque Isle; Samuel W. Collins, Caribou; Harold A. Dakin, Londonderry, N.H.; Rep. Dawn Hill, Esq., Cape Neddick; Michael D. MacPherson, Presque Isle; Jay Y. McCrum, Mars Hill; Donald W. Perkins Jr., Westbrook; Jon J. Prescott, Island Falls and Lisa M. Ventriss, South Burlington, Vt. George Ellis of Scarborough serves as an honorary director.
