The Houlton 11-12-year-old All-stars were eliminated from the District 3 Little League Tournament last week.
The Houlton All-stars traveled to Brewer last Monday, July 6 for their second game of the tournament against Brewer. Brewer blanked Houlton, 8-0, however the score didn’t indicate how close the game was played. Brewer scored six of their runs in the top of the sixth inning.
Houlton’s Gage Hunt started the game on the mound and was relieved by Ryan Dee and then Jacob Drew. Bouchard and Nick Botting had the only Houlton hits.
The Houlton team traveled to Hermon to play their first game of the double-elimination tournament on June 29 and were defeated, 2-0.
Houlton’s Kyle Bouchard tossed a three-hit complete game. Hermon scored in the first inning when their leadoff batter singled and reached second on a fielder’s choice. He scored on a teammate’s single. Hermon’s next run was set up on another single. With two outs, the runner had advanced to third. He stole home for the second run.
The Houlton All-stars did not have a hit in the game.
