McQuarrie, Alice C., 83, July 31, 2009.  Arrangements by Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton.  Interment was held in the Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
    Hodgdon – Alice Crawford McQuarrie, 83, died July 31, 2009, at an Auburn Health care facility. She was born June 11, 1926, at Houlton, the daughter of Frank and Harriett (Rugan) Cawford.
    Alice was a life long communicant of Saint Mary of the Visitation Church and a member of the Catholic Women’s Council. She was employed as secretary of the Aroostook County Probate Court for 48 years. Alice’s life revolved around her family, her church and her work.
    She is survived by her children, Michael and his wife Cheryl of Glendale, AZ, their children, Christopher and Matthew, Mary and her husband Bird Lake of Lisbon Falls, and their children Nathan, Jeffrey and Benjamin, David of Phoenix, AZ, and his children Caitlin and Emily. One sister, Alma Gallop of Hodgdon and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Wilfred A. R. McQuarrie and daughter-in-law, Ann Mailman McQuarrie.
    A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Saint Mary of the Visitation Church with Rev. David Raymond Celebrant. Interment was in the Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
