Abby and Paige Small owners of Small Steps Dance, proved once again that their company’s motto, “Kids teaching kids to dance,” is highly effective.
The young entrepreneurs once again offered area kids a chance to dance during their summer vacations and the results presented Aug. 2 were certainly remarkable. The pair commented prior to their summer presentation that some of the young dancers had actually, due to family obligations and other summer commitments, had actually only attended a few lessons.
Small Steps Dance encourages all ages to dance and during their Sunday afternoon summer show indeed there were all ages dancing, from two-year-olds to adults, it was two hours of great music and a variety of very talented dancers who obviously were enjoying themselves while performing.
From “Boom Shake the Room,” to “ Save the Last Dance for Me,” with a little “Hot Honey Rag,” and the “Itsy Bitsy Spider ,”mixed in, the extremely large audience certainly were well entertained and most couldn’t help moving their own feet.
Sisters Abby and Paige Small began their dance business when they were only 11 and 13 years old. They are the daughters of Dr. Craig and Jane Small.
