PRESQUE ISLE — The Presque Isle Fie Department will be offering a free child safety-seat checkup on Friday, Aug. 28, at the fire station, located at 43 North St.     Child passenger safety technicians will be on hand to assist parents, instructing participants on how to properly install their child’s safety seat.
“It’s important to properly secure children in vehicles because car crashes remain the number one killer of children ages 3 to 14 in the United States,” said Deputy Chief Adam Rider.
The event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. For more information, contact 769-0881.
